Position Overview

Assists in maintaining a Statewide 24-hour Long-Term care abuse/neglect hotline. Receives complaints against Long-Term Care facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, ambulatory surgical treatment centers, end state renal disease centers, hospice agencies, rural health clinics, sub-acute facilities, and unlicensed nursing homes. Interviews callers in order to determine if complaint/concerns pertain to regulatory non-compliance for any of the programs served or if caller needs referral to another agency. Enters call information into central database as to type of caller and nature of each allegation.

Essential Functions

  • Assists in maintaining a Statewide 24-hour Long-Term care abuse/neglect hotline.
  • Serves as Staff Assistant to the Central Complaint Registry Program Administrator.
  • Completes Complaint Narrative, outlining each allegation.
  • Conducts ongoing research of State and Federal codes of regulation in order to remain familiar with any changes or updates.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
  • Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency-approved professional management training program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years' of work experience in Microsoft Word, and spreadsheet applications (i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet).
  • Two years' of experience preparing complex written and oral reports.
  • Two years' of experience preparing correspondence in professional manner consistent with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, and programs.
  • One year experience working on a hot line.
