Title: Warehouse Manager

 

Reports to: Vice President of Operations

 

Summary: Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the storage and distribution of materials and products for the company using lean methodologies.

 

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage the activities of the direct report Associates engaged in receiving, storing and shipping

products and materials.

  • Train and coach new associates on all Innovize teams in shipping, receiving, and inventory fundamentals that pertain to their position.
  • Manage and evaluate all outgoing sales orders to customers to verify they are accurate.
  • Ensure Level I and Level 2 incoming inspections are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the Value Streams have all necessary materials to complete jobs by the due date or information is communicated on missing materials before they are needed.
  • Respond to all questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Responsible for investigating all inventory discrepancies regarding warehouse material.
  • Manage and handle offsite material storage and coordination.
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses and order maintenance, repair or replacement as necessary.
  • Coordinate 5's events with each Value Stream to maximize and assist production goals.
  • Manage and perform monthly customer reports and physical inventory audits.
  • Evaluate freight costs to ensure Innovize is receiving the highest possible service, while reducing the overall shipping costs for Innovize and Innovize customers.
  • Schedule warehouse cycle counts to ensure accurate inventories.
  • Responsible for locating and isolating all expired and damaged material with nonconformances.
  • Prepare and meet dollar variance goals for quarterly inventory audits.
  • Manage and report daily shipping and receiving metrics in vitals.
  • Meet corporate guidelines for retention and development of A, B and C players.
  • Seek internal or external training for personal development with courses, books, seminars,

peer groups, or conferences to apply to your role.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Make and maintain safety improvements within the Warehouse.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy goals are met.
  • Ensure on time delivery goals are met.
  • Accountable for performance management of direct associates.
  • Ensure assigned projects goals are met.
  • Accountable for achieving successful work habit verifications with no findings.
  • Ensure all required learning and development for self and direct reports is current.

 

Training/Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 – 8 years' experience with shipping and receiving in a warehouse environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Previous inventory control experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience working in a contract manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ERP system experience, Epicor software preferred.
  • Proficient PC skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Work experience and or training preferred.
  • Medical device regulatory environment experience a plus.
  • Forklift driving experience and certification required.
