Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (BHCHP) was established to ensure unconditionally equitable and dignified access to high-quality health care for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in greater Boston. We care for more than 10,000 homeless individuals each year through more than 30 locations, offering comprehensive health care from preventive dental care to cancer treatment. Our clinicians, case managers, and behavioral health professionals work to support vulnerable, resilient community members.
From our early days, we have sought transformational work that centers dignity, compassion, mutual respect, and the right of every individual to access the highest levels of health care. We are committed to building bridges and breaking down barriers, including systemic racism. We provide community-based health care services that are compassionate, culturally appropriate, and consider social determinants of health to reduce barriers faced by patients.
