This is a Hybrid position SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: The Cash Analyst will process day-to-day financial transactions to assure the effective, current, and accurate maintenance of the organization's global cash receipts. This role will perform record keeping, planning, implementing and analysis of different functions and systems under the cash transactions. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Receives, verifies, and applies checks and electronic fund transfers for services rendered in a timely manner.
- Maintains proper listing of applied cash and distributes daily cash reports.
- Researches overpayments and duplicate payments and processes the necessary refunds.
- Researches short payments and communicates findings to appropriate parties.
- Responds to inquiries regarding cash applications in a timely manner.
- Generates daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or other regular and special reports as required (i.e. daily cash receipt and cash balance reports).
- Processes the necessary write-offs and non-sufficient funds checks.
- Accurately prepares the required bank account reconciliations.
- Communicates effectively with clients or customers and responds to routine client or customer inquiries.
- Maintains accurate, current records and documentation related to accounts.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical and administrative tasks and participates in special projects, assignments, and activities as required or approved.
- Participates in ongoing education, training, and development efforts to maintain and enhance skills as assigned or approved.
- Stays abreast of office and company policies, procedures, and practices; participates in ongoing training and development as assigned or approved to assure knowledge and skills remain current and comprehensive.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Experience: - 3 to 5 years of progressively relevant experience
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exemplary time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy, to execute tasks and meet deadlines.
- Sound written and oral communication skills, problem-solving, influencing, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with skill in Excel functions
- Independent judgement/ decision making
- Champion of continuous improvement.
- Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
- Willing to embrace change.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Teamwork, compassion, and respect toward others, in keeping with our 5 Guiding Principles, as well as integrity, accountability and adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct, and open and honest communication.
- Ability to work in office 2 days a week
Preferred Skills/Abilities/Experience: - Fundamental finance and accounting skills is a plus
- Great Plains experience strongly preferred
- Project management skills to assist with process improvement activities including automation.
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other directly related field preferred
